Peran Perawat dalam Kesehatan Jiwa

Kesehatan jiwa merupakan bagian integral dari kesehatan secara menyeluruh. Perawat memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam memberikan pelayanan keperawatan kepada individu dengan gangguan kesehatan jiwa. Peran ini tidak hanya terbatas pada pelayanan klinis, tetapi juga mencakup aspek lain seperti promotif, preventif, kuratif, dan rehabilitatif.

1.      Peran Promotif dan Preventif

Perawat kesehatan jiwa berperan dalam meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat tentang pentingnya menjaga kondisi kesehatan jiwa. Perawat berperan dalam memberikan penyuluhan, edukasi tentang kesehatan jiwa, serta mengidentifikasi faktor risiko yang dapat menyebabkan gangguan jiwa. Pendekatan ini diharapkan perawat dapat membantu dalam mencegah berkembangnya gangguan jiwa di masyarakat. Selain itu, perawat juga memiliki peranan penting dalam mengurangi stigma negatif masyarakat terhadap pasien dengan gangguan jiwa. Hal ini dapat dilakukan dengan memberikan edukasi sebagai langkah promotif dan preventif. 

Contoh kegiatan:

·         Kampanye tentang cara mengatasi stres dan manajemen emosi

·         Pendidikan Kesehatan tentang cara mencapai kondisi sehat jiwa

·         Pendidikan tentang pentingnya dukungan sosial

·         Edukasi komunitas tentang gangguan mental atau gangguan jiwa

·         Skrining awal untuk deteksi dini gangguan mental

2.      Peran Kuratif

Peran kuratif perawat terlibat secara langsung dalam proses pengobatan pasien dengan gangguan jiwa. Peran kuratif ini perawat tidak bekerja sendiri melainkan berkolaborasi dengan tim multidisiplin lain untuk merencanakan, melaksanakan, dan mengevaluasi tindakan keperawatan.

Peran kuratif perawat meliputi:

     

      • Observasi gejala dan perilaku pasien dengan masalah kesehatan jiwa

      • Pemberian obat sesuai dengan advice dokter

      • Pendampingan terapi seperti terapi aktivitas kelompok (TAK) sesuai dengan masalah  keperawatan pasien

      • Kolaborasi dengan keluarga terkait pentingnya dukungan keluarga terhadap pasien dengan gangguan jiwa

      • Kolaborasi dengan tenaga kesehatan lain seperti apoteker, ahli gizi, psikolog, terapis dalam melakukan asuhan keperawatan

     

    3.      Peran Rehabilitatif

    Perawat membantu pasien dalam proses pemulihan dan reintegrasi ke dalam masyarakat. Aspek rehabilitatif ini merupakan pencegahan tersier untuk mengembalikan fungsi pasien supaya lebih optimal (Afriyanti, Sundari, & Rahmawati, 2021). Peran perawat dalam memenuhi aspek rehabilitatif ini yaitu memberikan pelatihan keterampilan hidup (life skills), membangun dukungan sosial, dan membantu pasien memperoleh kembali fungsi sosialnya.

    Contoh kegiatan:

      • Pelatihan keterampilan komunikasi
      • Dukungan untuk pasien pasca-rawat inap
      • Kolaborasi dengan keluarga dan komunitas
      • Pembekalan caregiver atau keluarga pasien terkait pemantauan minum obat untuk mencegah kekambuhan

    4.      Pendekatan Holistik dan Empatik

    Perawat dituntut untuk memahami pasien secara menyeluruh, tidak hanya dari aspek fisik tetapi juga dari aspek emosional, sosial, dan spiritual. Pendekatan empatik ini membantu pasien merasa dihargai dan didukung sehingga proses penyembuhan dapat tercapai secara maksimal.
